The Hound understands that despite the Green Party’s staunch policy of carping constantly about dairy farms polluting waterways, etc, it is not above accepting donations from such polluters.
Inside information passed to yours truly reveals that a big donor to the Green Party during the 2011 (election) year is causing water quality issues for its neighbours; and this supposedly ‘sustainable’ corporate farmer is doing little to mitigate the effects of this pollution on neighbouring farms. Apparently, throwing a few grand at the Greens gives this ‘corporate citizen’ – which claims to be “looking after the environment” and “maintaining and enhancing the environment in which it operates” – licence to greenwash the local community and fill the smug Greens coffers.
